The City of San José Aviation Department announced that Rosalyn Bond been formally promoted to deputy director of operations for the Norman Y. Mineta San José International Airport (SJC), after serving in the role in an interim capacity for several months.
In her new role, Bond will oversee and manage airside operations, landside operations, terminal operations, security operations, and emergency management.
Bone has worked for SJC for more than 23 years, most recently as airside operations manager. She also worked at the airport as security manager, facilities, airside and terminal management superintendent, airport operations supervisor in landside, and five years as manager on duty.
“SJC truly is an amazing place to work and such a collaborative environment where we all join together to solve any problem we encounter,” said Bond in a press release announcing her new role. “The past few years have been hard on us all, but we’ve all worked together through so many changes over the years, and I’m happy and excited to move up and play a bigger part in SJC’s ongoing success.”
Bond was placed in her new role after a search led by ADK Consulting & Executive Search, a retained consulting and search firm based in Jacksonville, Florida.
