Brockman Named AAAE President And CEO for 2017-18

Scott A. Brockman, president and CEO of Memphis International (MEM), became chairman of the American Association of Airport Executives for 2017-18. He succeeds Carl Newman, CEO at Jackson- Medgar Wiley Evers International (JAN). The election was held as part of the 89 th Annual AAAE Conference and Exposition in Long Beach, CA. Other executive committee members elected by the membership include First Vice Chair

Jeanne Olivier, aviation assistant director at the Port Authority of New York-New Jersey; Second Vice Chair Todd McNamee, director of airports at the Ventura County Department of Airports; and Secretary and Treasurer Tory Richardson, chief strategy officer at the Columbus Regional Airport Authority. “On behalf of the AAAE team, I congratulate each of them on the recognition they have earned from their peers and extend our sincere appreciation for their continued commitment to our organization and to the entire airport industry,” says Todd Hauptli, AAAE president and CEO.

Founded in 1928, AAAE is the world’s largest professional organization representing the employees of public-use commercial and general aviation airports. Next year, AAAE will host the event in San Diego from April 15 through April 18.
