Krystal Brumfield today announced that she is leaving the Airport Minority Advisory Council after three years at the helm of the organization. Brumfield told Airport Experience News that she has decided to explore other career opportunities but has not yet committed to another position.
“The time has come to end my journey as president and CEO of AMAC,” Brumfield announced through the organization’s Connections e-newsletter. “I am deeply saddened to make this announcement but brimming with nostalgia, gratitude and optimism. I look back with so much pride to an extraordinary group of bad members, staff, members, corporate and strategic directors that have redefined our future and who we have helped to empower.”]
A replacement for Brumfield has not been identified. She says the AMAC Board will establish a search committee to undertake a national search of candidates to lead the organization going forward.
Brumfield urged those industry members to begin or expand their participation in AMAC and “help guide the change you want to see in the aviation community.”
