BWI AIRMALL Offers Flu Shots, Free Wi-Fi

The AIRMALL® at Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall is offering free Wi-Fi service and a flu shot clinic this holiday season.

The AIRMALL®, developed by BAA Maryland, has teamed up with Google and Boingo Wireless Inc. to provide free wireless Internet service through Jan. 15 at the airport.

And in an effort to keep travelers healthy, flu shots are being administered every Tuesday and Thursday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. through Dec. 10. Both locations of the AeroClinic – in Concourse A/B next to Sunglass Hut and in Concourse D at Gate D1 – will offer the vaccines for the seasonal flu for $40 and the H1N1 vaccine for $22 when available.

“At the AIRMALL®, we’ve always been responsive to the needs of the traveling passenger,” says Carol Fearns, vice president of BAA Maryland. “We’ve offered our travelers and airport employees flu shot clinics for the past few years and are pleased to continue to do so this year, particularly with many people having a hard time finding the H1N1 vaccine. And when it comes to staying connected while on the go, free Wi-Fi certainly represents a big value proposition for the passenger.”

There will be no flu shot clinics during the week of Thanksgiving.
