The Calgary Airport Authority has for the sixth time been named one of Alberta, Canada’s top employers as part of a competition managed by Mediacorp Canada Inc.
This means the organization, which oversees Calgary International (YYC), cultivates a dynamic and rewarding work experience for employees, airport officials say.
“Our people are truly the backbone of Calgary International Airport’s success as the third-busiest airport in Canada,” says Cynthia Tremblay, vice president of human resources for the authority. “Investing in our people is fundamental to our airport’s growth and development, which is why we are continually looking for innovative programs that enrich our culture, engage our employees and enable us to attract great talent.”
Key offerings, the airport says, include ongoing professional development programs, an employee-led engagement program, robust benefits and pensions, student work opportunities and a peer-to-peer recognition program. Employees also have the opportunity to participate in volunteer and social initiatives, an employee retreat and other activities.
A blue-ribbon Academic Advisory Board selected from universities across Canada oversees the selections.
