Philip Capozzi, who most recently served as general manager of the Continental/United Airlines’ Terminal C concessions program at Newark Liberty International (EWR), has joined Jersey Mike’s Subs as vice president of non-traditional development.
Capozzi has been in large-scale real estate and concessions management for 25 years and he will focus on bringing the sub chain to airports, travel centers, casinos and universities throughout the country.
Jersey Mike’s opened its first non-traditional markets in 2013, including one each at EWR and at McCarran International (LAS). The company had enough success to warrant further expansion, says Hoyt Jones, president.
“Since the brand has proven out in locations including airports in major hubs like Las Vegas and Newark, we believe it’s the right time to look for additional opportunities,” he says.
