CDA To Hosts Opportunities Expo

The Chicago Department of Aviation (CDA) will host an Airport Expo and Job Fair next month for small businesses and individuals interested in learning about contracting and job opportunities at the Chicago O’Hare International (ORD) and Midway International (MDW) airports.

The event, scheduled for Friday, Nov. 18 at the University of Illinois-Chicago UIC Forum, will showcase upcoming contracting opportunities with the CDA’s Construction Managers at Risk (CMARs), and the hiring and contracting initiatives to increase diversity, equity and inclusion at ORD and MDW.

It will also detail the requirements to obtain certification as an Airport Concessions Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (ACDBE), Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE), Minority-Owned Business Enterprise (MBE), Woman-Owned Business Enterprise (WBE), Veteran-Owned Business Enterprise (VBE) and Business Enterprise Owned by People with Disabilities (BEPD).

“There are incredible opportunities to be a part of the growth of O’Hare and Midway, especially with all of the exciting developments on the horizon through our O’Hare 21 Program,” said Jamie Rhee, CDA Commissioner. “I encourage job seekers and entrepreneurs from every walk of life to explore all the openings we have at this expo.”
