Chick-fil-A Finds Space At IND

Chick-fil-A opened its doors at Indianapolis International (IND) on Monday.

The restaurant’s location in the Civic Plaza means the chicken eatery will be available to ticketed passengers as well as members of the general public.

Founder S. Truett Cathy, who died in September, began serving the restaurant’s signature breast-of-chicken sandwich when he opened the Dwarf Grill concept in 1946. The sandwich, for which he used a recipe created by his mother, remained the main dish on the menu when Chick-fil-A debuted in an Atlanta mall in 1967.
