CLEAR, a bio-metric security identification program, is offering its services at Dallas/Fort Worth International (DFW).
“DFW Airport is focused on customer satisfaction, so we are always looking for new ways to improve the customer experience,” says Jeff Fegan, CEO of the airport. “The use of biometric technology is a great step forward. Adding the capability to speed up the security screening process is a frequent request we get from our customers. Implementing CLEAR at DFW is one way to speed up the process while continuing to ensure safety and security.”
The CLEARlanes, available at Terminal E, are members-only lanes that allow travelers to get through the security checkpoint in fewer than five minutes using their finger. Membership is $179 for one year with unlimited use; members can add a spouse or significant other to their account for an additional $50. Children younger than 18 can use the CLEARlane free of charge, with no enrollment necessary, when accompanied by an adult member.
“We are thrilled to bring CLEAR’s biometric platform to Dallas and Fort
Worth,” says CLEAR CEO Caryn Seidman-Becker. “DFW is a valuable addition to CLEAR’s growing network of airport partners bringing much needed speed and predictability to the travel experience. The addition of CLEAR demonstrates DFW’s commitment to enhancing security and the airport experience, solidifying DFW’s position as an industry innovator.”
