Clear, a provider of secure biometric identity systems, has brought its automated traveler service to Miami International (MIA).
The platform is designed to make the travel experience faster and more seamless for members.
“Clear and Miami International Airport are both dedicated to creating the best and safest possible travel experience for residents and visitors alike,” says Caryn Seidman Becker, Clear’s CEO.
The program is certified by the Department of Homeland Security as a “Qualified Anti-Terrorism Technology.” It uses biometrics – fingerprints and irises – to verify member identities. It allows expedited screening at major U.S. airports, ensuring that members clear security in five minutes or less, according to company officials. Clear is integrated with the Transportation Security Administration’s PreCheck program.
“Bringing Clear to Miami is just another example of our focus on innovation and our dedication to bringing the best in technology to our city,” says Miami-Dade County Mayor Carlos Gimenez.
