Clear Channel Airports Partners for ORD Lounge

Clear Channel Airports and ride share company Uber this week launched the pop-up Uber Comfort Lounge at O’Hare International Airport (ORD) that lets departing travelers relax, unwind and prepare for their upcoming flight from the airport.

Open through January 3rd in ORD Terminal 2, the exclusive experiential advertising activation will feature Uber brand ambassadors providing travelers with complimentary beverages, a Comfort package that includes socks, travel wipes, ear plugs and a face mask, as well as discount coupons for an Uber Comfort ride when they reach their destination.

The lounge, which was done in cooperation with the Chicago Department of Aviation and the work of Catalina Productions, also features areas for passengers to keep their luggage, in addition to charging tables for phones and access to iPads with a pre-programmed playlist and noise cancelling headphones.

“We are so proud to partner with Uber on yet another airport first that makes passengers lives just a bit easier, especially during the harried holiday season,” says Jon Sayer, senior vice president for national sales for Clear Channel Airports. “We worked very closely with Uber and the Chicago Department of Aviation to design a lounge that would positively enhance travelers’ experiences at ORD during a very stressful time and that also gives them the opportunity to try Uber’s new Comfort offering at a discounted price.”
