Clear Channel Airports is partnering with rideshare company Uber on a new, out-of-home advertising campaign at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) to better help travelers connect with their Uber drivers.
Clear Channel Airports, a division of Clear Channel Outdoor Holdings Americas, and Uber say the campaign features directional signage in the post security, baggage-claim and parking garage areas throughout Sea-Tac, easily guiding arriving passengers to their Uber pickup location.
“Working very closely with Uber’s team, we’ve created a unique advertising campaign that paves a fast, no-stress way to connect passengers to their rideshare pick-ups at Sea-Tac,” says Jon Sayer, senior vice president, national sales for Clear Channel Airports. “This first of its kind campaign proves that when planned carefully in alignment with the airport authority and with the traveler’s journey in mind, advertising featuring intuitive directional messaging can be highly effective.”’
The campaign was launched in August and runs through October, leveraging way-finding ground transportation signage and technology to reach approximately 86% of all SEA arriving passengers and guide 100 percent of Uber riders to the designated airport pickup area.
In 2017, Clear Channel Airports announced it had signed a new 10-year agreement with the Port of Seattle to provide an architecturally integrated media advertising network.
