Common-Use Lounge Opens At San Diego International

A ribbon-cutting event this week at San Diego International (SAN) marked the opening of Airspace Lounge, the first common-use lounge at the airport.

Located post-security in a corridor between Terminal 2 East and Terminal 2 West, the lounge offers panoramic views of the airfield, seating, a full food and bar menu, and shower facilities.

It is operated by Swissport. Airspace Lounge is open 365 days a year and available to all passengers starting at $25 per day. American Express Platinum and Centurion card holders receive complimentary access.

“With record numbers of passengers passing through the airport, it’s especially important to provide a first-rate travel experience for each and every passenger,” says Thella Bowens, airport director. “Airspace Lounge provides passengers traveling with any airline a quiet location to relax, catch their breath and take a break from the busy airport experience outside.”
