Samuel Adams Atlanta and Dos Equis Explorer Lounge, two bars opened recently at Hartsfield-Jackson International, will have iPad-enabled ordering – the first time such technology has been utilized at the airport.
The bars, which will be operated by Concessions International, are on Concourse B.
“We strive to bring travelers the perfect balance of comfort and convenience,” says Anthony Joseph, president. “The table-top ordering system allows travelers to order quickly without waiting for a server, so they can spend their limited time enjoying these well-loved brands in a warm, comfortable setting.”
Thirty of the iPads with secure stands will display digital menu items and provide an option for ordering and paying for food and drinks. A wireless paging system will alert wait staff of ordering activity and requests for service.
Guests also will be able to play games, or check the weather and their flight status. The software is being provided by eTouchMenu, with the design by Menu Masters.
The Dos Equis lounge will be the first time the brand has opened in an airport. It will feature decor inspired by the journeys of the “Most Interesting Man.” The menu will include a variety of food, including Mexican-inspired breakfast dishes. Concessions International and Disadvantaged Business Enterprise partner H&H Hospitality will operate the restaurant as a joint venture.
Samuel Adams will offer the company’s hand-crafted beers and a variety of American fare, available from nearby restaurants such as Paschal’s, Little Azio’s and Cafe Tazza.
