The airport commission for San Francisco International (SFO) on Jan. 19 approved 13 food and beverages leases for the redevelopment of the International Terminal.
The largest package, which includes sit-down, marketplace and casual sit-down locations, went to Tastes on the Fly, a local operator. The company plans to open a second Napa Farms Market, Mustard’s Restaurant and Samovar Tea Lounge.
“SFO has been a leader in elevating travelers’ food and beverage expectations in airports,” says Michael Levine, CEO of Tastes on the Fly. “We are excited to continue that journey with them by bringing three of San Francisco’s favorite food and beverage experiences to the international terminal.”
SSP America Inc. won two leases for the International Terminal, one for a casual sit-down restaurant and one for a quick-serve restaurant. Andale Management Group Inc. won a combination casual sit-down and quick serve lease, while High Flying Foods SFO LLC won a casual sit down location. Quick serve contracts will go to Mum Fresh San Francisco Inc., Tomokazu Japanese Cuisine Inc. and Joe & The Juice SFO LLC. Two Asian quick serve contracts went to Stix Holdings LLC and Bayport Concessions LLC. Midfield Concession Enterprises LLC won a single contract for coffee quick serve, while Host International LLC will operate two locations in that category. Finally, A&M Restaurants LLC won a lease for a casual dining bar and quick serve concept.
