Concessions Options Expand At SJC

Expanded air traffic through Terminal A has led to the addition of new food and retail offerings at Norman Y. Mineta San Jose International (SJC).

Two concepts have opened: Access Point, a tech-themed lounge that serves spirits, wine and beer that also features grab-and-go salads, sandwiches and snacks, and Sunset News, a newsstand inspired by Sunset magazine, which is focused on cooking, traveling and gardening.

Sunset is operated by World Duty Free Group North America. HMSHost Corp. runs Access Point. Concessions in that part of the airport had closed because the economic downturn.

“The spring and summer seasons have brought more destinations and added frequencies to the places Silicon Valley travelers want to go, creating more demand for concessions in our terminals,” says Kim Becker Aguirre, director of aviation.

More concessions will open in Terminal A later this summer. They will include Einstein Bros., Red Mango Yogurt & Smoothies, and Sip Savvy, a wine bar operated by Pacific Gateway Concessions.
