GENERAL SUMMARY
Under general direction, uses project management principles and practices to coordinate the Concessions department’s activities with stakeholders, including internal departments, customers, concessionaires, tenants and airlines. Drives revenue through an innovative strategic approach and improvements through research. Manages projects and initiatives that occur within the terminals airport-wide, working collaboratively with other internal departments. Developing plans and budgets; evaluates proposals and alternatives, develops memorandums of understanding (MOU); and writes and negotiates leases. Ensures stakeholders are fully aware of Concessions related programs and potential impacts or changes to business processes. Project could include passenger amenities, digital platforms that enhance customer experience and understands latest consumer trends that could be developed for airport use.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides expertise on the use of data-driven performance and resource-planning tools & practices, enabling the continuous development of efficient resource plans.
- Provides overall project responsibility for variety of projects and tasks.
- Develops project plans, monitors progress and reports development and implementation status to management using project management and reporting tools.
- Analyzes data and translates findings into a strategic plan that is meaningful based on consumer insights.
- Coordinates, plans and defines the multiple aspects of new program initiatives for the Concessions Department.
- Develops and implements a system for tracking and reporting on the progress of department projects.
- Evaluates proposals and alternatives; writes and negotiates MOU’s, leases and provides documentation as required for administration and execution of each project.
- Works with Customer Insights team to use statistical analysis and conduct surveys to measure new initiatives.
- Conducts cost/benefit analysis, ROI and other financial impact reviews on proposed initiatives.
- Researches best practices from the aviation and other customer-centric industries and incorporates and/or improves these concepts into actionable projects for DFW Airport.
- Liaises with other departments/staff at the DFW Airport to rectify any communications issues.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, operations management, or a related field.
- Three (3) years of experience in project management.
- Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted for the above on a year-for-year basis.
- Possession of a valid Class C driver’s license.
