Post-Reauthorization Plan - Infrastructure Projects And The Funding Environment

The passage of a five-year Federal Aviation Administration funding bill in September 2018 did not include a much-lobbied-for increase in the cap on Passenger Facilities Charges. Yet the airport industry needs billions of dollars of infrastructure improvements and expansions, and federal funding will fall far short. This panel will discuss alternative means of funding projects - from P3 approaches to state and local funding - as airports grapple with aging facilities, rising passenger numbers and financial realities.

Moderator: Steve Van Beek, director and head of North American aviation, Steer

Speakers: Demetrius Carney, president of The Carney Airport Consulting Group; Michael Landguth, president and CEO, Raleigh-Durham International Airport; Robert Warren, assistant aviation director for concessions business development, Miami International Airport
