Travelers who use Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County’s (DTW) Big Blue Deck for long-term parking are getting a price break.
Parking rates for the parking facility have gone down to $10 a day. It is directly connected to the North Terminal by an enclosed, pedestrian walkway on Level 4; there is also a free 24-hour shuttle service to and from the McNamara Terminal.
“Customers have been asking for more convenient, on-airport, economy parking, and we’ve been listening,” says Wayne County Airport Authority CEO Lester Robinson. “As we mark the official start of summer and one of our busiest travel seasons, the airport authority is eager to welcome travelers into the only parking facility just steps from the North Terminal – and the closest economy parking option to the McNamara Terminal.”
There have been other enhancements made to the Big Blue Deck as part of the North Terminal Redevelopment Project, such as new moving walkways that run the entire length of the deck on Level 4; in addition, there is a central bank of escalators adjacent to the North Terminal ground transportation center.
Rates at DTW’s surface Yellow Lot have also been lowered to $10 per day; a free shuttle connects the lot to both airport terminals.
