CPR Training Kiosk Lands At BWI

Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall (BWI) is making it easy for travelers to learn hands-only CPR during their spare time before takeoff.

An interactive kiosk has been installed near Gate B7, courtesy of the American Heart Association and Amerigroup Foundation. The kiosk offers a brief video demonstrating the skill, a practice session and a 30-second CPR test. With a practice mannequin, the kiosk gives feedback on depth, compressions rate and hand placement.

“Our passengers waiting for a flight can now take the opportunity to learn how to save a life,” says Ricky Smith, CEO of BWI. “This is a valuable tool that will allow travelers to quickly learn the important hands-only CPR technique.”
