Corpus Christi International Airport (CRP) has completed construction on a new suite of passenger amenities, including a full-service bar with a connected outdoor patio and observation deck, located post-security between Gates 1 and 3.
Tailwind Concessions will operate the Nueces Brewing Company bar, an 823-square-foot outpost of the popular Corpus Christi-based brewery. The space, which includes five 55-inch TVs and built-in charger ports, was designed and built by South Texas Building Partners and Mike McSwain Architect. Nueces Brewing Company will offer a menu featuring a selection of flagship and rotating specialty beers on tap, artisanal cocktails, as well as red, white, rosé and sparkling wines. The 1,200-square-foot adjacent outdoor patio and observation deck was built by SpawGlass-Corpus Christi and features a Service Animal Relief Area (SARA), plentiful seating and 180-degree views of CCIA’s airfield.
CRP has also announced plans to open several additional passenger amenities over the next year, including the locally-owned Island Joes Coffee shop, an Amazon “Just Walk Out” store, a full-service Gulf Coast Capital Bar & Grill, an outpost of the popular Salty Oak BBQ as well as a new passenger lounge.
“The opening of the Nueces Brewing Bar and our stunning new outdoor observation deck marks the first of many new passenger-focused spaces to be unveiled at CRP over the coming years,” said Kevin Smith, director of aviation at CRP. “Our goal is to create an exceptional travel experience by improving amenities and operations, which will bolster our local economy and fuel economic growth. We are excited to showcase this beautiful new bar and outdoor space to the 700,000+ passengers who travel through CRP each year.”
