Chris Curry, director of aviation at Tallahassee International (TLH), has resigned his position and accepted a new post at Mobile Regional (MOB), the city of Tallahassee announced.
David Pollard, deputy director at THL, will step in as interim director following Curry’s departure October 12. The search for a new director will begin immediately, the city said.
Brian Belcher, marketing director for MOB, confirmed that Curry had been hired to lead the airport.
Curry joined THL as director of aviation in January 2014. Previously he was executive director of the Collier County Airport Authority and, prior to that, was executive director of Gary Chicago International (GYY).
“We wish Chris the best in his future endeavors and appreciate his contributions to the many accomplishments that our community’s airport has made in recent years,” said Ricardo Fernandez, Tallahassee city manager. “During his tenure, we achieved international status and improved the customer experience through a variety of facility upgrades, which will continue to benefit TLH travelers.”
