CVG Kicks Off City’s Annual Oktoberfest Zinzinnati

Travelers through Cincinnati-Northern Kentucky International (CVG) will be able to celebrate Oktoberfest in true German style.

The airport, in partnership with the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber, will help kick off the city’s annual Oktoberfest Zinzinnati celebration from 8 to 10 a.m. Sept. 18 with Bavarian pretzels, soft drinks and polka music by the Pete Wagner Schnapps Band. Fritz, the Oktoberfest wiener dog mascot, also will be available to meet with passengers.

“As the front door to the community and a bigger-than-expected crowd with the [Cincinnati] Bengals hosting the San Diego Chargers, we are excited to partner with the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber for everyone coming to visit our region,” says Candace McGraw, CEO of CVG.

This is Cincinnati’s 40th year of hosting the celebration. The event attracts more than 500,000 people each year.

“As America’s Oktoberfest, a world-class event, we want to roll out a huge German welcome to greet our visitors,” says Patrick Sheeran, vice president of the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber.
