The renovated terminal, passenger tunnel and Concourse A at Cincinnati-Northern Kentucky International (CVG) opened Tuesday.
Now, all flights will arrive and depart from the Main Terminal.
As part of the renovation, air carriers that were in Terminal 2 have been moved to the Main Terminal Concourse A, including Air Canada, American Airlines, US Airways and United Airlines; Delta Air Lines will remain in Concourse B. Concourse A will open with 16 gates.
Concourse A also will include more dining and shopping options, Wi-Fi, workstations and outlets to recharge electronics, a USO military lounge and a children’s play area. In addition, there is an improved ticketing area and tunnel enhancements, and passengers will be able to walk or take train service to their gates in Concourses A and B.
“This project is part of our overall plan to position CVG for future growth. We continue to explore all options to grow business at CVG and keep our region’s airport competitive as we move forward,” says Candace McGraw, chief executive officer of CVG.
“Passengers asked for improvements to make travel more efficient and we have listened. Revitalizing Concourse A also gives us the opportunity to showcase the Greater Cincinnati region. We are celebrating our region by incorporating design elements our loyal, hometown air travelers will proudly recognize while giving out-of-town travelers an immediate and positive impression of what our area has to offer.”
