The non-profit organization Circle Tail is attempting to make travel less stressful for people with disabilities.
The organization, which trains and provides service animals at no cost to people with disabilities, will bring 20 people who are either a volunteer foster for or recipient of 12 dogs into CVG to go through airport experiences, such as security and traveling to the gate areas. Two trainers will also be on hand.
“Customer service is a top priority at CVG,” says Candace McGraw, CEO of CVG. “We strive to accommodate our passengers to have the best flying experience possible.”
CVG is working with the Transportation Security Administration and Delta Air Lines to put on the event.
“It is a pleasure to work with all the people who make CVG Airport a great place to fly,” says Marlys Staley, executive director of Circle Tail. “We appreciate the opportunity to provide this unique experience to our service/hearing dogs in training and for our service/hearing dog teams who may be flying in the future.”
