The City of Dallas has appointed Patrick Carreno as director of aviation, responsible for overseeing Dallas Love Field (DAL), Dallas Executive Airport (RBD), and the Dallas Vertiport (JDB). Previously, Carreno served as assistant director of operations and interim director.
“I am honored to be given this opportunity to serve as director for the Department of Aviation,” said Carreno. “I am excited to be a part of the dynamic leadership team assembled here, and I am committed to continuing the advancement of the department’s key priorities.”
Carreno replaces former director Mark Duebner, who retired in November 2022.
Since joining the City of Dallas in December 2021, Carreno has overseen airport security, airside operations and landside operations. Previously, he was a vice president for Allegheny County Airport Authority.
