The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority on Wednesday approved Jerome Davis as its new executive vice president and chief revenue officer. The new position recognizes the airport authority’s strategic objective to keep costs low for airlines and travelers by maximizing revenue from other sources.
Davis most recently worked as corporate vice president for food and retail at Waste Management and had his own executive coaching and consulting firm. He previously had served as global vice president of service excellence, chief client executive officer and president of the Americas for Electronic Data Systems. Previous employers included Maytag Appliance Co., Frito Lay, and Procter & Gamble.
“Jerome Davis brings world-class management experience at well-known corporations to the airports authority,” says Jack Potter, president and CEO of MWAA. “I look forward to his contributions, particularly in helping us identify and implement innovations and best practices to benefit our customers, the traveling public.”
Added Davis: “I look forward to working with the company’s dedicated employees and bringing experience and leadership on the revenue front as we create the future for the authority and as we look to meet the needs of the more than 40 million passengers a year we serve.”
MWAA this week also announced that Richard Kennedy, a recognized expert in the elevator and escalator industry, has joined its board of directors. He owns his own independent consulting company and is a director of the Elevator Contractor Council for the Association of Building Contractors. He was president of the National Association of Elevator Contractors from 2010 to 2011.
