De Graaff To Take Over As President, CEO Of JFKIAT

JFKIAT LLC has appointed Gert-Jan de Graaff its new president and CEO.

Effective July 1, de Graff will oversee day-to-day operates at John F. Kennedy’s (JFK) Terminal 4, which is operated by JFKIAT. He will be replacing Alain Maca, who is retiring.

De Graaff has worked for Schiphol Group since 1995, beginning as a senior director of marketing and account management at Amsterdam (AMS); he took a position in 2005 at Stockholm (ARN) as managing director of Arlanda Schiphol Development Co. He then went on to Brisbane Airport Corp. as executive general manager of commercial services and then executive general manager of strategic planning and development. In 2012 and 2013, he was in charge of coordinating Schiphol Group’s bid to operate Rio de Janeiro International (GIG).

“Alain Maca has stood at the head of JFK Airport’s Terminal 4 from the very beginning and we are greatly indebted to him for all that he has achieved here,” says Jos Nijhuis, president and CEO of Schiphol Group. “Under his leadership, Terminal 4 has grown into one of the best and most modern terminals for passengers. We believe Gert-Jan de Graaff will be a worthy successor of Alain Maca, not least in view of his international experience.”

The terminal is in its second phase of an expansion project for Delta Air Lines that adds capacity and technology.

JFKIAT LLC is owned by Schiphol USA Inc., a U.S. affiliate of Schiphol Group.
