Delaware North will invest $6 million to rebrand and refurbish the food and beverage concessions at Ontario International (ONT), where it holds a long-term contract. Cross Grains, Brewhouse, Harvest and Grounds and W Pizza by Wolfgang Puck are just a few of the brands that are being added during the upcoming improvements.
The agreement was approved on April 27 by the commissioners of the Ontario International Airport Authority.
“We are excited to partner with Delaware North to provide a much-improved customer experience in our terminals,” said Alan Wagner, president of the Ontario International Airport Authority. “This is our latest, but by no means our last initiative to provide our customers with the world-class airport they deserve.”
The Ontario International Airport Authority said the new agreement is estimated to produce net revenue of $12.9 million over 10 years to the authority. Delaware North will be required to maintain pricing at no more than 10 percent above the street price for food and beverage, down from 18 percent in the current agreement.
Kelly Fredericks, CEO of ONT, stressed that passengers will continue to have a number of food options available during the construction project.
“While the efforts in our food concession areas will be significant, we are working very closely with Delaware North to develop a plan which will ensure that at all times throughout the construction process, our passengers will have a variety of high quality food and beverage offerings to choose from. When complete we believe the new food concession area in our terminals will mark a transformational milestone for our airport,” Fredericks said.
