DEN’s May Selected As Property Manager Of The Year

Airport Experience News has selected Penny May, chief commercial officer for Denver International Airport, as its 2023 Property Manager of the Year. May leads a portfolio that includes concessions, procurement and business operations, business technology, airline affairs, and air service development.

“Denver International Airport’s concessions program offers enticing F&B and retail options that greatly enhance the traveler experience,” said Melissa K. Montes, vice president and publisher of Airport Experience News. “Penny May and her team have excelled at delivering a fresh and vibrant program throughout the expansion and renovations currently underway. I look forward to seeing what’s next in concessions as the Great Hall Project and other capital projects continue to evolve.”

Prior to her current role, May led as the airport’s deputy chief of staff when she joined DEN in December 2018. Before her tenure at DEN, May led citywide impacts as interim chief of staff and deputy chief of staff for Mayor Michael B. Hancock.

“I am truly humbled and grateful to receive this recognition,” said May. “It’s a testament to the hard work and dedication of a talented team to deliver a great customer experience at DEN.”
