Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) announced the opening of Lowrider Cookie Company and The Confectionery, two local, women-owned businesses, to provide travelers with new option to satisfy their sweet tooth while at the airport. Both kiosks are located in the A Concourse.
“In our conversations with both Lowrider Cookie Company and The Confectionery they mentioned they’ve always wanted to open at SEA, and we’re overjoyed to make that dream come true,” said Khalia Moore, senior manager of SEA’s airport dining and retail program. “The SEA kiosk program is our tool to open the doors for small local businesses to operate in an airport environment. That includes building more partnerships with ACDBE and WMBE businesses.”
Lowrider Cookie Company offers travelers six signature flavors that are available year-round, plus additional rotating flavors. The Confectionery is a boutique candy store that has been operating in Seattle’s University Village since 1967. Its SEA kiosk is a smaller-scale version of the University Village location.
