Devana Named CEO of Nanaimo Airport

Dave Devana has been named the new president and CEO of Nanaimo Airport (YCD), succeeding Mike Hooper as the leader of Vancouver Island’s second busiest airport.

Devana has spent more than 20 years as a chief administrative officer and chief financial officer in local area government prior to taking his new position.

“Dave is a motivational leader with a wealth of senior management experience,” said Wendy Clifford, chair of the Nanaimo Airport Commission. “His background makes him uniquely suited to fulfill our vision of being ‘Your Island Gateway to the World’.”

In his new role, Devana will lead a team of 28 YCD employees and help execute the Nanaimo Airport Commission’s strategic plan that includes developing vacant airport land to help diversify revenue streams as the airport helps fulfill the region’s air services needs for the next generation.
