Dallas/Fort Worth International (DFW) is seeking proposals from retail and food & beverage operators for 16 locations in Terminals A, C and D.
The airport released a Request For Proposals for 11 packages containing a total of eight food and beverage and eight retail locations.
DFW will host a pre-proposal conference on October 17. Responses are due on December 12 at 2 p.m. CST.
The 16 opportunities presented in the RFP include two sweet snack locations; two salty snack locations; two gelato/frozen treat locations; one restaurant featuring Texas cuisine; an entertainment bar; a combination book, travel essentials and café location; a convenience retail store; two electronics retail stores; three travel essentials stores and a candy location.
“Proposals should reflect brands and solutions that have regional, national and global appeal, including how technological advancements can be incorporated into their operation,” according to the RFP
DFW noted that its passenger numbers were up 17 percent between 2010 and 2016, ending that year at 65.68 million passengers. International passenger growth has been particularly buoyant, rising 53 percent during the 2010-2016 period to reach 8.27 million.
Separately, DFW released a Request For Information for one restaurant pad site at Southgate Plaza, a 32-acre master planned mixed-use development with a combination of retail, restaurant, offices and hotels on the south end of the Airport. Responses to the RFI are due by Friday, October 27, 2017.
