Officials from Dallas-Fort Worth International (DFW) kicked off a multi-million dollar global marketing initiative with a press conference from Buenos Aires, Argentina. The effort is part of an aggressive move on the airport’s behalf to become the “premier international gateway to South America” airport officials say.
DFW has teamed with the Dallas and Forth Worth Convention and Visitors Bureaus on the $5M campaign to promote the airport and the region through the Visit DFW (VDFW) Campaign. Jeff Fegan, CEO, and Joe Lopano, executive vice president of marketing and terminal management, spoke from Buenos Aires on Tuesday morning to introduce the plan. The first leg of their trip will also bring them to Santiago, Chile.
The DFW Board approved the VDFW campaign in June.
