Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) cafe brand Whisk & Bowl Bakery has launched a new weekly therapy dog initiative. Therapy Dog Thursdays, which will be held at Elevate Gourmet Brand-operated Whisk & Bowl Bakery’s Terminal A and C cafes, celebrates therapy dogs as well as the airport’s own “K9 Crew.” Any traveler accompanied by a certified DFW therapy dog is invited to stop by every Thursday for a free cup of fresh-brewed drip coffee, with plans to make the bakery’s all-natural dog treats available soon.
Whisk & Bowl co-owner Elliott Threatt celebrated the launch of the program Thursday, appearing at DFW to welcome dogs and their owners with treats and coffee. “Our Therapy Dog Thursdays are our way of saying ‘thank you’ to the incredible teams who make the airport experience brighter for travelers,” said Threatt. “We hope this becomes a small weekly tradition that makes a big impact.”
