Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) announced a pilot program to showcase the latest electric vehicle (EV) charging technologies.
DFW’s innovation and planning teams are partnering with consultant STV to host a series of five EV charging demonstrations from May through August at various customer parking lots across DFW, letting passengers the chance to evaluate different EV charging solutions such as autonomous robotic wireless charging, on-demand charging and apps that enable charging control from anywhere in the world.
The demonstrations will each focus on a different provider and a next-generation technology solution and will be available to airport employees and members of the public who are interested in participating.
“Finding the right technology solutions to meet DFW’s future challenges is a major focus for our team,” said Paul Puopolo, DFW executive vice president of innovation. “We know that electric vehicles will be a big part of the future of transportation, and we are leaning into emerging technology now so that we are prepared to meet the needs of the airport community well into the future.”
