Buffalo, N.Y.-based Delaware North Cos. has announced it has closed on its acquisition of Patina Restaurant Group.
Patina Restaurant Group is a high-end restaurateur and caterer with restaurants in New York, California and Florida and was previously owned by Japanese foodservice company Shidax Corp. The Patina acquisition increases the number of employees for Delaware North to nearly 60,000. Total revenue for Delaware North is expected to be in excess of $3 billion.

Among the restaurants in Patina’s portfolio are Patina Restaurant, Nick & Stef’s Steakhouse, Cafe Pinot at the Maguire Gardens, Lincoln Ristorante and the Sea Grill.
On a related note, Matthew King has been named president of Delaware North Companies Landmark Holdings. In his new role, King will oversee both Patina and Delaware North Companies Travel Hospitality Services, the latter of which he had served as president since 2008, overseeing its growth internationally and domestically.
Kevin Kelly has been named president of the Travel Hospitality Services division and will report to King. Kelly previously had served as vice president of the company’s Shared Services in addition to as president of the parks and resorts division from 2005 to 2012.
