Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA), operator of Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), announced this week that Becca Doten has been named its chief airport affairs officer and Douglas Webster will become the deputy executive director for operations.
Doten is being promoted into the new role after serving as of interim chief corporate strategy and affairs officer. Previously, she served as the deputy executive director for public and government affairs. She joined LAWA in 2017 as the director of public relations.
Doten will take on the role of chief of staff to the CEO, serve as LAWA’s official liaison to LAX airline partners and oversee the following units: public relations, community relations, government relations, airport marketing and air service development.
Webster’s previous experience includes serving as the chief operating officer and executive vice president at Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL) in Delhi. He also worked as deputy director at Fort Lauderdale–Hollywood International Airport (FLL) in Florida and as a general manager with Northwest Airlines. In his new role, Webster will be responsible for all aspects of airside, terminals and landside operations.
“Los Angeles World Airports is in the midst of an ambitious capital improvement program to modernize every aspect of our airports, and Douglas Webster and Becca Doten have the operational insights and strategic approach that will help us reach our goal of creating world-class airports that provide economic benefit to our local communities and region,” said Justin Erbacci, CEO, LAWA. “Their professionalism and experience will bolster the executive team as we all continue to respond to and recover from the COVID-19 pandemic and look ahead to a very bright future.”
