DTW Opens New North Terminal Restaurants

HMSHost, Paradies Lagardère Dining Division and other concessionaires have partnered with local ACDBEs to open several new restaurants in Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County (DTW) in recent months, offering hungry travelers options for both local and national food and drink items

The restaurants, part of a concessions expansion that will finish in the coming months, include Cantoro Italian Market Trattoria, a local, family owned and operated Italian market crossed with a modern corner store; Air Margaritaville, Jimmy Buffett’s airport restaurant that also includes Detroit Street Café featuring Zingerman’s Coffee, and Atwater Brewery, an area favorite featuring German brew-styles.

The new restaurants are part of a $21 million transformation of concessions in the DTW North Terminal that includes 15 additional food and beverage concepts, many of them local favorites. HMSHost, Paradies Lagardère, DTW North Partners, NAC-MAC Concessions and McDonald’s are partnering on the North Terminal food and beverage program with ACDBE– Airport Concessions Disadvantaged Business Enterprises — including AP United, AJA & Associates, Ellis Infinity, Jamjomar VIII, Rodriquez Group and W & W Diversified Services.

“It is an exciting time at Detroit Metropolitan Airport,” says Wayne County Airport Authority CEO Chad Newton. “We are happy to work in collaboration with our concessionaires to offer a taste of our region to all who walk through our terminal.”
