The Baton Rouge Airport Authority has named Michael Edwards as the new director of aviation for the Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport (BTR). Edwards had been serving as the interim director of aviation since May of last year. Prior to that, he was BTR’s airport operations manager.
“I am excited to lead our experienced team, from growing our aviation business park to expanding our list of nonstop flights and airline seating capacity,” Edwards says. “I look forward to the challenge of further developing BTR as an engine for economic development in our community.”
