Eagle County Regional (EGE) has selected Kip Turner as director of aviation. Turner will provide strategic vision for the airport, develop key relationships in the aviation industry, design marketing strategies and direct the overall operation of EGE under the general direction of the county manager. The director of aviation oversees the terminal, operations, maintenance, compliance, safety and administrative activities.
Previously, Turner was executive director at Grand Junction Regional (GJT) and director of aviation at Durango La Plata County (DRO).
“I have been fortunate to work and live in other resort style regions. I have a good understanding of what is expected and required to maintain a vibrant and growing airport in this environment,” said Turner. “It’s my mission to ensure that Eagle County Regional has a vision for continued growth and success while maintaining quality customer service at the highest levels.”
