The Transportation Security Administration has opened an enrollment center for its TSA PreCheck program at General Mitchell International (MKE).
The expedited screening program is part of the agency’s risk-based, intelligence-driven approach to aviation security. Members of the program can leave their laptop computers in their cases and are eligible to leave on their shoes, light outerwear and belt in select screening lanes.
Applicants must pre-enroll at www.tsa.gov and visit an application center to provide fingerprints, biographic information and payment. The agency plans to have more than 300 locations nationwide.
“We are pleased that residents of Milwaukee and surrounding communities now have access to a TSA enrollment center where they can apply for expedited screening benefits,” says Louis Traverzo, TSA MKE federal security director.
