Fashion Spa House Opens at BWI

Fraport USA, the developer and manager of the concession programs at Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI), said this week that Fashion Spa House has opened a new location at the airport to provide travelers with fashions, accessories and its’ award-winning vegan skincare line.

As the first participants in the BWI Launch Pad run by Fraport and BWI, Cynthia and Ketorus Gooding of Baltimore have offered an array of fashions, accessories and skincare for health-minded travelers at the airport since 2017. Now, the newly minted Launch Pad graduates have a full lease for a 300-square-foot retail unit in the A/B Concourse through May 2024.

“The Goodings’ success demonstrates what BWI Launch Pad is all about: empowering entrepreneurs and small business owners to jumpstart their business and succeed in a dynamic airport retail setting,” says Gary Gilliard, vice president of Fraport Maryland. “This is a momentous day for the program at BWI. It shows our commitment to creating growth opportunities for area businesses at the airport.”

Fashion Spa House is a lifestyle company/fashion brand that compliments a variety of ages, body types, and styles. BWI Launch Pad helped the brand develop and operate a retail merchandising unit with minimal investment, supported by ongoing business development training and resources.

“We are excited to see Fashion Spa House grow and offer new products and services for our customers,” said Ricky Smith, executive director of BWI Thurgood Marshall Airport. “Our Launch Pad program was created to provide opportunities for local micro businesses to be successful.”
