FAT Announces Food Truck Program

Fresno Yosemite International Airport (FAT) has announced a new food truck program to accommodate late-night passengers and guests with additional food options provided by local vendors in the surrounding area.

As part of the new program, local food trucks will serve their specialty menu items outside of FAT’s terminal in Transportation Security Administration-approved, travel-ready containers to enjoy prior to boarding flights or to carry onboard the aircraft for an in-flight meal.  Food trucks will operate daily from 8:00 p.m. until the last flight departure.

Airports teamed up with community partner Fresno Area Hispanic Foundation (FAHF) to reach out to food truck vendors for this unique and limited two-year airport concession program to operate at FAT. This temporary program provides more food options during terminal construction and prior to new concessions coming online in 2025.

A Request for Qualifications (RFQ) process invited qualified and experienced food truck vendors to submit packages for review before being selected.

“Fresno Yosemite International Airport is excited to bring this new food truck concept that is unique and provides passengers with additional food offerings while exposing local vendors to operating their businesses in an airport environment,” said Henry Thompson, FAT director of aviation. “We appreciate our partnership with the Fresno Area Hispanic Foundation for their support with outreach efforts to area vendors to create a program that incorporates the popularity of food trucks within our community and the appeal of local culinary favorites.”
