SLIP Hospitality Group, a division of The Firkin Group of Pubs, recently opened three new locations in the Baltimore-Washington International Airport (BWI).
Sweet Jesus, an ice cream concept, opened post-security in Terminal C on December 1, 2017. The Urban Burger, a quick service restaurant concept, opened pre-security on February 1, and it will begin serving beer at the end of April. La Carnita, a full sit down Mexican street food concept that serves food and liquor, opened post-security in Terminal D on February 9.
Construction on Nalley Fresh Salad Bar, post-security in the A/B food court, will start this year, and the restaurant is slated to open in late 2018.
SLIP Hospitality Group is also moving into Halifax Stanfield International Airport (YHZ). Construction on three restaurants will start the week of February 18. These include The Firkin and Flyer, a fully licensed sit down pub concept; Connected Coffee and Bake Shop, which sells coffee and pastries; and The Crispy Leaf, a build your own salad bar. The YHZ restaurants are scheduled to open in June.
