After a hiatus last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Broward County’s Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) said this week it will hold its Winter Festival of Music holiday showcase at the airport for the 33rd time.
With the support of Broward County Public Schools (BCPS), the live holiday music festival will take place Monday, December 6 through Friday, December 10, 2021, from 9 a.m. to noon daily in select locations around the airport’s terminals, concourses and rental car center.
This year’s festival will feature approximately 600 students from 13 Broward County elementary, middle and high schools in a variety of musical performances throughout the week, including bands, orchestras, choirs, carolers and dancers. Carolers will also roam throughout the post-security concourses in Terminals 1 and 4 on select days to entertain travelers and employees.
“It is always a pleasure to collaborate with BCPS to bring back what has become a popular FLL annual tradition to give our guests a glimpse of the musical talents of local students while offering travelers some holiday cheer and spirit,” said Mark Gale, FLL CEO and director of aviation. “We hope everyone enjoys this year’s festival and wish you the joy of the holiday season as we continue to be kind to all we meet.”
