The Food & Shops at LaGuardia’s (LGA) Central Terminal Building have named the winners of its Quest for the Best employee recognition and incentive program.
MarketPlace Development, the retail development company that develops and manages the Food & Shops program, held an awards brunch March 23 to make the announcement. The Metropolitan Museum of Art Store, which was given the annual award, received a $1,000 cash prize and the Quest for the Best trophy; it also won for most improved/retail.
Other winners included Jet Rock as the most improved/food and Sunglass Hut with the Service Spirit Award.
“The employees of the Food & Shops are the essential component of our concessions program when it comes to outstanding customer service,” says Lillian Tan, vice president/general manager for MarketPlace. “We developed the Quest for the Best incentive program as a way to motivate our tenants and reward their continued hard work and dedication. We congratulate all of the winners and commend them on their commitment in providing high quality service to our passengers.”
The Quest for the Best program is the Food & Shops’ quarter employee incentive and recognition program where the company’s service providers are lauded. The program, launched in 2007, awards points every quarter for mystery shop scores, attendance and training programs, customer commendations and more. The team who has the most points at the end of the quarter wins $500 in cash and the right to display the Quest for the Best trophy in its store until the new quarterly winner is chosen. A special annual awards celebration recognizes the store with the most points and awards $1,000 in cash.
