Fraport USA Partners With Local Barber at CLE

As part of its expanding Launch Pad program, Fraport USA has partnered with Cleveland native and entrepreneur Darrell Solomon to open a new Aircuts & Day Spa at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport (CLE).

Launch Pad is Fraport USA’s innovative program that gives local startups and small business owners an opportunity to operate an airport business backed with training, sales and marketing support.

Solomon, operator of Cleveland’s well-known Tarbloodersports Barber Shop, presented his concept and was selected to be the first Launch Pad business at CLE after a formal review process last year.

Aircuts & Day Spa formally opened in the airport’s busy Concourse C this week at an event attended by Cleveland Mayor Frank Jackson; CLE Director Robert Kennedy, Ben Zandi, president and CEO of Fraport USA, and Solomon.

“Customers are excited to have the services at the airport and love the convenience factor,” says Tina LaForte, vice president of Fraport Cleveland.

Fraport USA’s Launch Pad program was first piloted at Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI), where it is in its second year and has four local operators.
