FuelRod Charges Into BWI

FuelRod continues to enter new airports, with Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall (BWI) being the latest.

“Responses from users of our FuelRod chargers and SwapBox kiosks have been tremendous as our network has grown across airports both in the United States and Europe, and we’re very pleased to add BWI Marshall to this rapidly growing list of locations,” says Joe Yeagley. co-founder of Tricopian LLC, the company behind FuelRod. “Working with Airmall has been a great experience as we are focused on our goal of ‘un-plugging’ travelers from their seats, allowing them to charge on the go while experiencing much more of the great shopping and dining that BWI Marshall has to offer.”

At the FuelRod kiosks located in all of BWI’s five concourses, travelers can purchase a FuelRod kit that includes the charger and charging cables that work for most electronic devices. The chargers deliver up to eight hours of talk time for smartphones or around four hours of use for tablets. The kits cost $20 and include a subscription allowing for free unlimited exchanges at any kiosk.

“We’re experiencing great success with the FuelRod kiosks in Cleveland and Pittsburgh airports, and we’re excited to now have this service deployed at Baltimore-Washington,” said Jaime Daly, CEO of Airmall USA. “It’s all about positive passenger experience. The portable FuelRods help customers to explore and enjoy the many food and retail amenities our airports offer without the stress of worrying about their mobile device charge level.”
