Gasparilla Bar Drops Anchor At TPA

Pirate ship-shaped Gasparilla Bar is now docked in Airside F at Tampa International (TPA). The restaurant, which pays homage to Spanish pirate Jose Gaspar and Tampa’s annual Gasparilla Pirate Festival is operated by HMSHost Corp.

“It is exciting to be able to offer this lively restaurant that celebrates one of Tampa’s oldest and most exciting traditions with great good and drink,” says Michael Price, vice president of business development for Host.

The menu offers items like the pirate’s roast beef sandwich, Gaspar’s chicken sandwich and the Black Beard bean salad. Plus, a variety of “Gaspar’s grogs” are available, as well as Captain Morgan Rum-based cocktails, beer, wine and other spirits.

“With every new opening, Tampa International Airport better reflects the flavor feel and region we serve,” says Joe Lopano, CEO of TPA. “The Gasparilla Bar invites travelers to unwind, Tampa style: on a boat with a cold beverage in hand.”
